We built an entire social media identity system to turn a routine competition into a spectacle!

The Challenge

When a team hosts a USA Diving Zone meet, the digital marketing falls entirely on them. There's no playbook, no template, no brand team. Just an expectation to show up and represent the sport. The goal was to create something that felt completely different from anything the diving world had seen before — graphics that made people stop scrolling and ask "what is this?"

The Approach

The strategy was built around one core idea: make it about the athlete, not the event. Diving events are typically marketed institutionally — dates, times, brackets. We flipped that. By centering the visual identity around the individual athletes competing, we turned a regional meet into something personal and shareable. Every graphic was designed to give athletes something they'd actually want to post.

To bring that to life visually we worked within the USA Diving color system — red, white, and blue — but pushed it further with a custom gradient that morphed from red through purple to blue. The result was a modern, bold, and unmistakable design system for the event.

The Deliverables

  • Facebook Live event setup & group management
  • Branded Instagram & Facebook posts and stories
  • Age-group specific event graphics
  • Personalized athlete check-in story templates for athlete resharing

The Outcome

A complete, ready-to-deploy digital marketing system built to create buzz around the event while giving every competing athlete a moment to shine on their own platforms — turning participants into promoters.

Feedback
"During covid people were worried about not being able to support their family, and we built a way for them to celebrate with those they love the most!"
